THAT--IS--NOT--MY--COW

Again, bad image, full of mistakes. Again, Discworld Samuel Vimes. Again, a piece that's a bit more than fanart. This time inspired by the scene in "Thud!" (MUST-READ, those who read the book just couldn't forget the scene)... Whatever I say about it won't do it justice, my eyes were actually filled with tears while I was reading through that particular scene as well as while I was drawing the picture, and sadly the picture isn't enough to do justice to the moment in the book either. I guess the worst things about the picture is the awful yellowiness of the fire after the scanning or whatever, my total inability to paint hot splashing oil, and of course, he's missing his helmet again, but that's simply because I'm just as incapable of drawing helmets. Aw well... Vimes has the kind of personality that's deep enough to start with, but digs deeper even when you think it can't go further than that.
